F-16 Falcon Render by Skarlet-Raven F-16 Falcon Render by Skarlet-Raven
Media- Adobe Photoshop CS5

F-16 Falcon Render was an assignment for Industrial Design Drawing II class, in which we were to render transportation.

I don't think the point of the assignment was going for photorealism; the professor wanted a somewhat looser, "faster" rendering style. This was "tighter" of a rendering than the professor wanted, but I'm still kind of satisfied with it. I got to do this in the school's computer lab, with the giant Wacom Cintiq tablets. I feel spoiled with those lovely tablets; I love them to death.

:la:

I rendered the F-16 Falcon because I thought one of my family members would appreciate it to use as a wallpaper.

That's just cool, I know very little about 'rendering' ... in fact, I've never heard of it used in an 'art' context before but it's really good :}

I think rendering has several different meanings, depending on what it is. In this case, I think the term pretty much means drawing something in a scene, or "artist's rendition" of what something can look like.

Thank you for taking a look over my artwork; I really appreciate it.

This was my favorite out of the series of transportation renders we had to do for that class. It was fun to draw, and I got to do it on a lovely tablet in class.

I like how they turned out. The light shading you use give them a nice "sleek" look.

Very cool!

I liked it, though the professor did think the color laydown was a bit heavy. Granted, transitioning from screen to print can be tricky sometimes.

Thank you for taking a look over my artwork; I really appreciate it.

Nice rendition! We have a lot of F-16s here at my base in Korea, though I'm really more a fan of the F-15 Eagles and F-22 Raptors.

Cintiqs? Lucky! I briefly toyed with the idea of buying one but, man, the expense.

I don't know all that much about planes (embarrassing, considering my dad's line of work), but I think they're pretty cool.

They were so awesome, but there's no way I'll be getting one anytime soon. They are so, so expensive, even for the smaller model.

Thank you for taking a look over my artwork; I really appreciate it.
